    Founders' Inspiration

    Petra Elderly Centre was founded by Stergomena Lawrence Tax and Agapinus Lawrence Tax in honor of their mother, Petronilla, a lifelong educator and nurturer. Her legacy of compassion inspires our mission to provide dignified and meaningful care to the elderly.

    2007: Recognizing the Need

    As Petronilla aged, her children realized she needed specialized care. Despite their efforts, balancing demanding careers and caregiving proved challenging, planting the seeds for Petra Elderly Centre.

    2016: A New Beginning

    After Petronilla passed away in 2016, her memory inspired the creation of a place where every senior is valued and given opportunities to thrive, reflecting her lifelong dedication to teaching and nurturing.

    Through Petra Elderly Centre, Stergomena and Agapinus continue to honor their mother’s legacy, ensuring every resident receives compassionate care and opportunities to enrich their lives.
